The Castle Practice

We are a 6 partner, rural practice working from 2 surgeries in Ludgershall and Tidworth. The majority of patients live in these villages but we also have several, more isolated, villages in the Practice area as well.

Both surgeries also accommodates other members of the Primary Health Care team such as The District Nurses, Health Visitors and Chiropody. We also have additional rooms for visiting colleagues - Community Mental Health (adults and children), Social Services, Speech therapy, Midwifery, Paediatrics and Urology.

The Practice has 10,000 patients and is within easy reach of Winchester, Salisbury, Marlborough and Swindon. There is good access to the M3, M4 and A303 and all mainline rail links. There are plenty of affordable houses to rent/buy in the area. However, a car is mandatory.

We are fully computerised (Vamp Vision) and are virtually paperless with electronic links to the Health Authority and Pathology labs. We became a PMS practice in 2001

Training

We are a well-established training practice (2 trainers) with a Practice that is fully committed to training. There is room for two Registrars at any one time, with each having their own room in Ludgershall or Tidworth.
